    FAQ's

Answers to Your Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Composite hoses are made from multiple layers of spirally wrapped thermoplastic fabrics and films held together by a metal inner and outer wire helix. Product hoses form an integral part of transfer operations.

    • Better life (Avg. life is 2-3 years).
    • Lower in weight than rubber and lesser than SS hoses.
    • Flexible, so easier to handling.
    • Dust free & less ageing compared to rubber hoses.
    • Made up of layers that resists the chemicals & maintain maximum strength,
    • Having protection from corrosion and attack by other liquids, UV Radiation and ozone by their tough, PVC Coated Fabric.
    • Meets the electrical continuity requirements for industrial applications.
    • Temperature tolerance from -30°C to + 100°C.
    • Does not contaminate the fluid like clean fuel / oil while transferring. In other words the original quality of liquid remains same while transferring.

    • Composite hoses are upto 30% lighter than rubber hoses.
    • The materials used in composite hoses are fatigue free and do not degrade like rubber.
    • The fluid passing through rubber hoses may be contaminated by the tiny particles of rubber whereas in composite hose the inner layer is PP Fabric which will not contaminate the median.
    • The composite hose can be given in different colors for different applications so that the hoses dedicated for a particular application can be easily identified.
    • Composite hoses on an average have longer life than rubber hose.
    • Electrical Continuity is maintained throughout the life of the Composite Hose.

    • Radcoflex hose end fittings are assembled (fitted) using skilled specialists.
    • Radcoflex hose fittings are crimped to the composite hose using ferrule permanently to hose using machine.
    • All Radcoflex hoses after assembly are tested 100% for pressure and electrical continuity.
    • All Radcoflex hoses come with Test Certificate from Radcoflex.

If the hose will be exposed to aggressive chemicals (either internally or externally), metal hose should be considered. Stainless steel exhibits good resistance to many common chemicals and special alloys may be used for added corrosion resistance.

    • Corrosion Resistance. One of the best and most well-known characteristics of stainless steel is that it is extremely corrosion resistant.
    • Fire and heat resistance.
    • Hygiene.
    • Impact resistance and strength.
